The heat continues to slow-cook Northeast Ohio, and plenty of people are out in the heat working. One of those groups is first responders, who are adapting to beat the heat.
ROCKY RIVER, Ohio -
The old Midwestern mantra is, “It’s not the heat, it’s the humidity.” This week feels like a bit of everything, but departments like Rocky River are prepared for the elements. Chief Lenart said when temps soar, first responders answer the bell making sure the cooling systems in the vehicles are running well, carrying extra fluids, and packing more I-V liquids.
