Comal County Sheriff Mark Reynolds is running for his third term, and there are contested races for two seats on the commissioners court.
Republicans looked likely to keep their tight grip on Comal County , with unofficial results Tuesday night showing all three of the party's candidates holding strong leads in their local races. Incumbent Sheriff Mark Reynolds has received more than three-quarters of votes counted in the race to retain his seat, while Kevin Webb and Doug Leecock , the Republican candidates for the Comal County Commissioners Court, also had commanding leads over their Democratic challengers.
