Comal County continues to deal with 'excessive heat and critical fire weather conditions,' according to a statement from county officials.
Citing drought conditions that pose a growing wildfire threat, Comal County on Monday issued a disaster declaration that allows it to limit some activities that could increase the risk of an uncontrolled fire. Comal County Judge Sherman Krause issued the declaration due to 'excessive heat and critical fire weather conditions,' according to a statement from the county. The declaration stays in effect for the next seven days.
