Police said a man was shot and killed late Thursday, Oct. 5, 2023, on Portland Avenue near Norton Street in Rochester. Police said Shalar Davy, 32, of Rochester, wasOfficers found him near an alleyway and a sidewalk with a gunshot wound to his upper body.
He later died at Strong Memorial Hospital.No suspects are in custody. Anyone with information or video is asked to call 911, the Rochester Police Department Major Crimes Unit at 428-7157 or Crime Stoppers at 423-9300. Tips can also be emailed to [email protected].
