The outage is disrupting patient care, preventing people from seeing their doctors and getting prescriptions filled.
Palomar Health Medical Group’s phones and computer system have been down for nearly two months. KPBS North County reporter Alexander Nguyen shows us how that’s affecting patients and what the issue might be.
Palomar Health said it discovered the problem on May 5, which was affecting certain computer systems, and quickly took those systems offline to prevent the spread of possible malware. "The other problem is that the doctor can not come up with any conclusive treatment plan, because they don't have access to the previous records,” Hasan said.
