As Ohio State 's spring game sits less than a month away, spring practice in Columbus continues apace for both new and veteran Buckeyes. Chief among the storylines this week was the history made by incoming freshman wide receiver Jeremiah Smith. The latest pupil under Brian Hartline had his black stripe removed from his helmet after only four practice sessions, which set a record for fastest mark in program history.
Not to be left alone, Smith's fellow wide receiver Brennan Schramm followed suit later in the week with a black stripe alert of his own.
