Ohio State football's two-year captain and linebacker was selected in the fifth round.

The Raiders selected linebacker Tommy Eichenberg No. 148 overall in the fifth round. He was the fourth Buckeye selected, following Marvin Harrison Jr., Mike Hall Jr. and Cade Stover.

Eichenberg joins his brother, Liam, as St. Ignatius alums in the NFL. Liam Eichenberg, an offensive lineman, has played all three of his seasons with the Miami Dolphins since they drafted him out of Notre Dame in the second round in 2021.Ohio State tight end selected by Texans in fourth round, reunited with C.J. Former Ohio State receiver looking for a shot in the NFL: ‘It’s just keep my head down and hope a call comes’Eichenberg was the Big Ten linebacker of the year last season after posting 80 tackles with one sack and a forced fumble in 10 games. He was an even more productive weapon for then-new defensive coordinator Jim Knowles in 2022, when he collected 120 tackles, 2.5 sacks, three passes defended and an interception return touchdown.

Eichenberg is the first OSU linebacker drafted since Pete Werner and Baron Browning were both selected in 2021.
