Hettinger Racing has confirmed it has bought Bret Holmes Racing and will finish the 2024 season under the new branding.
From the ashes Bret Holmes Racing sort of rises again. A week after announcing that it was shutting down its doors immediately, Bret Holmes Racing's assets were purchased by Late Model team owner Chris Hettinger. The organization will complete the 2024 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season under its new name, Hettinger Racing, with 2018 Truck Series champion Brett Moffitt at the wheel.
This season BHR entered 20 Truck Series races but took a sabbatical after Holmes finished ninth on October 4 at Talladega Superspeedway. The hiatus from racing gave Hettinger time to complete his purchase of BHR before the final two Truck Series races this season. Brett Moffitt will drive the No. 4 Chevrolet Silverado at Martinsville Speedway and Phoenix Raceway to close out the season for the newly formed Hettinger Racing.
