ANCHORAGE, Alaska - An officer-involved shooting in a busy midtown Anchorage district Tuesday afternoon left a man hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, Anchorage police say.said the shooting occurred just before 2 p.m. at the 500 block of Northern Lights Boulevard, between C Street and Arctic Boulevard.

It was not clear at the time of publication how officers were involved in the shooting or who fired weapons. An Alaska’s News Source crew at the scene reported that a major crime scene van arrived near the area on West 27th Avenue around 3 p.m.An officer-involved shooting in midtown Anchorage on Jan. 7, 2025 left a man hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, Anchorage police say.APD said more information would be divulged at a press conference, although did not say when that may be.
