A man is dead after being shot near a King County Metro bus in SeaTac Monday afternoon, according to King County deputies.

King County Sheriff’s Office deputies respond to the scene of a deadly shooting in Des Moines on Monday, August 26, 2024.

When units arrived, they found a man that was on the ground. When fire crews arrived, they drove the man to Harborview Medical Center, but he died shortly after being taken to the hospital, according to King County deputies. “What I’ve been told is it probably started on the bus, and shots may have been fired on the bus or off the bus," said Eric White with the King County Sheriff's Office. "We’re still in the infancy of the investigation. Our investigators are going to be talking to witnesses that were on the bus, so if anyone was a witness that left the scene, we ask that you call the sheriff’s office at 206-296-3311.
