EU's recognition of Palestine as a state will become 'inevitable' if Israel annexes occupied West Bank, Luxembourg's FM Jean Asselborn says
Luxembourg's Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn says Israel's annexation of parts of occupied West Bank would be"stealing" and would make European Union's recognition of Palestine as a state"inevitable."
"To write reproachful letters would be a humiliation for the EU and would significantly weaken its credibility," Asselborn said. "I see no difference at all. Annexation is annexation. It is a gross violation of international law," he said.
