Leaked Facebook docs reveal its internal analysis of how TikTok and Instagram Reels stack up
Months later, a Facebook internal study concluded that Reels was still well behind TikTok as a product.and TikTok users from April 2021 found that"TikTok is more appealing than Reels due to better relevance and deeper engagement experience."
Participants were asked to submit recorded sessions of them using Reels and TikTok, as well as any"experiences" and"feelings" they had after each session, the documents said. "As we continue to innovate on Reels, we always seek to understand what makes content entertaining, relevant and engaging for our community," a spokesperson for Facebook told Insider."These documents demonstrate what we've been saying for a long time — that we operate in a highly competitive space.
