Ellwanger lost the no-hitter with two outs in the top of the seventh and then walked the next batter. With the pitch count limit reached, Caylon Dygert worked the final out for the save. Ellwanger, a Dallas Baptist University recruit, frequently hit the mid 90s in the early innings and compiled nine strikeouts through the first three innings, six of which were caught looking. He set down seven straight at one point with the Lions’ lone runner being hit by a pitch with two outs in the first.Hayden Carpenter led off with a single and scored two batters later as Dawson Park bounced a ground-rule double over the left-field wall and into the bullpen.
