All was looking good for the second Summer Night event in Rocky River July 14 -- until the rain came crashing down.
This Rocky River fire engine from 1924 was a highlight of Red, River and Blue July 14. Mr. Toth, a city mechanic, has been doing all the maintenance to bring it back to looking so new. The truck is also used for Santa Claus and other city events. It was donated to the city about 18 years ago.ROCKY RIVER, Ohio --The city’s second Summer Night event -- Red, River and Blue -- at City Hall July 14 was shaping up to be a fantastic community gathering.
In addition to the antique Rocky River fire engine, a police patrolman allowed kids to thoroughly examine a SWAT truck, both inside and out. Vendors galore lined the edges of the entire park. The vendors were serving the attendees with Cleveland memorabilia, sparkling jewelry and crystals and much more.
The star was a 1924 antique Rocky River fire engine, owned and maintained by Mr. Toth, a city mechanic.
