As we continue our coverage on the recent shark attacks in Walton County that sent three people to the hospital -- we’re speaking to a local man who also survived a shark attack -- nearly 24 years to the day. Chuck Anderson lost his arm in that attack back in 2000.

) - “Sure I’d rather have my right arm back... But I wouldn’t give these 24 years up for anything,” said Chuck Anderson, survived shark attack 24 years ago in Gulf Shores.

While his heart certainly goes out to the 45-year-old Elisabeth Foley who lost her left hand. Anderson says he especially got emotional about 15-year-old Lulu Gribbin who lost her left hand and part of her right leg in the attack. Anderson even reached out to her mother -- like he’s done with other victims over the years.

“From what I understand it could always have been a lot worse -- but it’s looking real good right now,” said Tyler, June 9, 2000.
