Russia has been strengthening its attacks in hopes of gaining control of the eastern city, which would allow it to cut off supplies from entering Kyiv.The struggle to gain control of Bakhmut has been the most persistent fight within the war.Offenbecker, who fights with the International Legion, a military unit of foreign fighters, said the artillery is “nonstop.”
