Weekly meals are bringing the Ormeau Road community together thanks to a grant from Tesco

Every Thursday people have been gathering at the Ballynafeigh Methodist Church in order to enjoy a nice meal together and get to know one another.

“We have been running the community meal program for two years and have a regular core of around 100 people who come each week and afterwards, everyone helps to put away tables and clean, it’s a warm convivial atmosphere. Tesco’s Community Grant scheme uses the money raised from the levy on carrier bags to fund projects across the UK that aims to improve the well-being of people in its local community.
