Former Auburn head coach Bryan Harsin hired as ACC offensive coordinator, report says

Harsin had been out of coaching since being fired by Tigers in 2022

Former Auburn head football coach Bryan Harsin has reportedly been hired as offensive coordinator at California. The 48-year-old Harsin had been out of coaching since being fired as Auburn’s head coach in October 2022. His nameIn addition to head coaching stints at Auburn , Boise State and Arkansas State , Harsin has also been offensive coordinator at Boise State and Texas . He played quarterback at Boise State from 1995-99.

At Cal, Harsin will reunite with head coach Justin Wilcox, who was Boise State’s defensive coordinator from 2006-09. Wilcox announced last week the Bears were moving on from Mike Bloesch, the team’s offensive coordinator the last two seasons. Cal is 6-6 this season, its first as a member of the ACC. The Bears face UNLV in the Art of Sport LA Bowl in Inglewood, Calif., in on Dec. 18.
