Coach fired by Tigers midway through 2022 season
Harsin, who was fired by the Tigers in 2022 midway through his second season as head football coach, posted an odd photo on X on Monday. The post includes the phrase “James 5:7 ‘Patience isn’t Passive.’ Cheers to the Winners! Championship Week” and shows a photo of someone holding a red coffee cup and looking out a window at a snow-covered deck and yard, but it’s the reflection in the window that gets your attention.
In the reflection, the holder of the cup is standing next to a lit-up Christmas tree and wearing a red sweatshirt or t-shirt with the letters ‘LANK’ on them. LANK, which stands for “Let All Naysayers Know,” was the rallying cry for the 2023 Alabama football team on its way to the SEC championship and a berth in the College Football Playoff.Harsin went 9-12 at Auburn, and has been out of coaching since he was fired by the Tigers on Oct. 31, 2022.
