Former human relations administrator also gets county prison sentence.

SUNBURY - A former human relations administrator will be required to repay the nearly $250,000 she admitted stealing from her employer by giving herself raises and making thousands of dollars in personal purchases.

Full restitution of $247,270 was part of the 9-to-23-month county prison sentence Jennifer L. Leonard, 51, of Selinsgrove, received Friday in Northumberland County court.Leonard had admitted whento a theft charge she had used the credit card of Custom Container Solutions Inc. of Milton to make $234,192 in purchases between November 2018 and May 2021.

She also admitted entering information on the company’s payroll account that resulted in overpayment of her salary in 2020 and 2021.Milton police launched an investigation after the controller for the company, which manufactures custom and standard steel roll-off containers, discovered payroll discrepancies.
