Driver dies after fleeing from Akron police

Four other people were also transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio - A 29-year-old man died Tuesday evening after fleeing from Akron police during a traffic stop , according to Akron Police Captain Michael Miller.

Officers had stopped the driver for “suspicious activity after observing traffic violations,” said Captain Miller.
