A doctor in Massachusetts has been indicted on charges of sexually assaulting over 200 former patients. Dr. Derrick Todd, a former rheumatologist at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, is accused of performing unnecessary procedures and engaging in sexual misconduct over a period of more than a decade. Todd pleaded not guilty and was released on bail.

The district attorney’s office also said the two alleged assaults took place in December 2022 and June 2023, and that additional investigations into Todd’s conduct are ongoing. Thompson added that the civil case against Todd is currently in the process of discovery. The Associated Press left a telephone message with Anthony Abeln, an attorney who has represented Todd in the civil case, and with Ingrid Martin, a criminal lawyer who has represented Todd.
