Disney confirms Little Mermaid animated series inspired by Halle Bailey's Ariel
Since the movie was shot during the pandemic, the actress explained how she often felt isolated. However, Ariel reminded her that she was "worthy" and "strong".
"Looking back, I am happy that it was that way. [It] helped me mirror the emotions Ariel was feeling in the film to where she felt trapped and isolated and ready to see a brand-new world where her heart belonged," she continued while speaking to"I felt like there were parallels to both of our lives in the time that I was filming, and I was grateful for that."
