Two weeks ago, some members of the board of education visited the nine schools on the list to be merged or shut down.The board was under the impression that the meeting was to talk about what they saw in each school. But, the educational expert they hired had a different plan.We heard from Dr. Terrance Green, an educational expert from Texas who was hired to help the district through this process.
After an hour or two, it sparked a debate between the board, Green and eventually amongst themselves about how this meeting should have been structured.
