A $13 million grant will allow the Cleveland Clinic to continue and expand a program that introduces young people to careers in healthcare
The Cleveland Clinic received a gift of $13 million from the Howley Foundation to expand the Howley ASPIRE Pathways program through 2036. The program seeks to diversify the ranks of healthcare workers by removing barriers that keep young people out of medical careers.CLEVELAND, Ohio — , with the goal of diversifying medical workers.
Aspire also will expand to include students at Saint Martin de Porres High School in Cleveland. Students there will be able to join the Aspire program as part of that school’s curriculum. After graduation, students can earn scholarships to attend Cuyahoga Community College to study surgical technology or Kent State University to study respiratory therapy, the Clinic said.
