Superintendent Aaron Sable touted the school district’s good relationship with The Cleveland Clinic Foundation as the board of education voted to renew the district’s service agreement with the organization.
The Medina Board of Education approved a service agreement with The Cleveland Clinic Foundation for sports medicine services.MEDINA, Ohio –
“We have a unique partnership with them,” Sable said. “While the agreement shows an amount of $102,000 we don’t actually pay that amount. The agreement is an exchange of services where the Cleveland Clinic Foundation provides us with an athletic trainer and their services and we give them marketing and advertising opportunities in the district.”
“It is a very good partnership we have developed with them and it saves the district quite a bit of money,” he said. Sable said there are certain programs such as high school varsity contests that do require the athletic trainer to be present while other events like freshman or middle school events might not have the trainer present. But he added that the trainer is housed at the high school and is available to all student athletes.
