Canada's competition tribunal said on Thursday it had not arrived at a decision regarding the C$20 billion ($14.7 billion) merger between Rogers Communications Inc and Shaw Communications Inc .

"The Tribunal wishes to advise the public that it intends to provide 24-48 hours notice on its website of the time and date of the issuance of its decision," the competition watchdog said in a notice on its website.

The much-awaited decision on the merger, one of the country's biggest, will put an end to a 20-month-old dispute with the antitrust authority. An epitaxial graphene platform for zero-energy edge state nanoelectronics - Nature CommunicationsAn epitaxial graphene platform for zero-energy edge state nanoelectronics - Nature CommunicationsHere, the authors show robust edge state transport in patterned nanoribbon networks produced on epigraphene—graphene that is epitaxially grown on non-polar faces of SiC wafers. The edge state forms a zero-energy, one-dimensional ballistic network with dissipationless nodes at ribbon–ribbon junctions.

Coherent interaction-free detection of microwave pulses with a superconducting circuit - Nature CommunicationsCoherent interaction-free detection of microwave pulses with a superconducting circuit - Nature CommunicationsInteraction-free measurements typically use repeated interrogations of an object that suppress the coherent evolution of the system. Dogra et al. demonstrate in a superconducting circuit a novel protocol that employs coherent repeated interrogations, and show that it yields a higher detection probability.

Clustering of single-cell multi-omics data with a multimodal deep learning method - Nature CommunicationsClustering of single-cell multi-omics data with a multimodal deep learning method - Nature CommunicationsSingle-cell multimodal sequencing technologies are developed to simultaneously profile different modalities of data in the same cell. Here the authors develops a multimodal deep clustering method for the analysis of single-cell multi-omics data that supports clustering different types of multi-omics data and multi-batch data, as well as downstream differential expression analysis.
