Bishop McDevitt dominates Exeter Township, ties Manheim Central’s record with District 3 title No. 18

The Crusaders rolled from whistle to whistle on Friday night at ELCO, dominating Exeter Township 48-14 to win the District 3 5A championship, tying Manheim Central with a record 18th overall crown.Bishop McDevitt’s star quarterback Saunders began the game setting a record, becoming the first player in Pennsylvania state history to throw for 3000 yards in four seasons.Dominic Diaz-Ellis was his top target, hauling in 10 passes for 110 yards and two touchdowns.

The Crusaders forced another punt on the next possession, and once again drove down the field to little resistance with a 9-yard touchdown from Saunders to Diaz-Ellis.
