Cat Mooney scored three goals, including the game-winner in the 68th minute, to rally the Bishop McDevitt girls soccer team past Schuylkill Valley, 3-2, in a District 3-2A quarterfinal Saturday in Leesport.
Mooney scored on a free kick in the 20th minute to open the scoring, then tied the game 2-2 after the Panthers took the lead on an Addie Becht goal just 20 seconds into the second half.
Amber Liu set up Mooney’s equalizer 10 minutes later. Liu and Mooney then combined again for the deciding score 18 minutes later. The No. 5 seed Crusaders advance to meet No. 1 Wyomissing, a 6-0 winner over Susquenita Saturday.
