“Well, we just wanted to get married as soon as possible,” said happy groom, Alberto Yahir Gutierrez. Uniting happy couples isn’t the only reason Judge Speedlin Gonzalez prioritized making herself available, while most other judges are taking time off. “I’ll get requests to dismiss a case based on whatever lack of evidence they have. That individual could have been sitting at the Bexar County Jail for months and that dismissal is going to get them home for the holiday,” said Judge Speedlin Gonzalez.
