Aztecs will tour downtown, then head to Petco Park after making NCAA championship game; Padres are in Atlanta

“We’re sad right now,” sixth-year senior Adam Seiko said, “but once we get some sleep and wake up tomorrow, we’ll understand we made it to a national championship game. Nobody thought we would be here, but we believed in ourselves. We knew we had a chance tonight, but it is what it is. We made it here and made history for the city of San Diego.”
All have come since 1999. North Carolina and Duke have three each over that period. Only UCLA , Kentucky , and UNC have more titles all-time.“That’s not for me to speculate on,” Allen said. “I just like to win and then keep coming back and entering the conversation again and again. I just love being in the conversation every year. I love for these guys to get the respect to put together a team where people understand what it means to play at UConn.
