The space station crew will feast on smoked turkey, apple cobbler, green beans, mushrooms and mashed potatoes, Williams told NBC News in an interview from orbit. Williams and Butch Wilmore have been living at the International Space Station since June, initially planning a shorter stay but now scheduled for return in February aboard a SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule.
The astronauts have been adapting to their extended stay, with Williams assuring that despite being on the first crewed flight of Boeing’s Starliner space capsule and the subsequent issues, they always had a plan for returning home. She also mentioned tuning in to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade before their Thanksgiving feast
