We're not saying that absolutely everything about Tyla's look at the CFDA Awards isn't worthy of a shoutout, but there's just something extraordinary about a well-executed bright blue shadow slay. The South African singer's eyes were tightly lined in black liner with lush but subtle lashes, letting the opaque turquoise on her lids really stand out.
Want to know how to tell a beauty person from a fashion person? Show them a photo of Tyla at the 2024 CFDA Awards and ask them what about the look pops the most. A fashion person will very likely call out the neon green hot pants she's wearing under her black lace vintage Gucci minidress; a beauty person, however, will point out her incredible eye shadow.
As noted, other elements of Tyla's beauty look deserve honorable mention. Her updo featured locs interspersed with messy curls, and she wore a French manicure with tiger-striped tips. But if you just can't help but focus on that fabulous eye shadow, we get it—we're obsessed, too, and we've already started shopping for a way to get the look ourselves.
