There will be a ribbon cutting hosted for the Blessings Box on July 22 at 10 a.m. outside Ashford City Hall.
The box allows people to take what they need and leave what they can, with products nearly everyone can benefit from.
Her new invention, the ‘Blessings Box,’ allows people to take help as they need it, and leave some items for someone else. “She’s very genuine,” said Whitney Ingram Strange, a family friend of McClenny who helped her design the box.” I believe she has a big heart and is willing to give back to the community and this is just one example of that.”“I think is a blessing for us,” said Mayor Barfield. “You never know when or who’s going to be looking for that one thing.”
