A number of professions are walking out
The winter of strike action is set to continue as more sectors get ready to walk out over pay and conditions. The next round of strikes include teaching staff and civil servants.
Court staff strikes Some members of the PCS union, which includes legal advisers and court associates, will go on strike in England and Wales. The industrial action is due to a dispute about a digital case management system known as Common Platform.Civil Servant strikes About 100,000 civil servants in 124 government departments and other bodies are on strike in a dispute over pay and conditions on February 1.
University strikes 150 universities will see staff take industrial action on February 1. The University of Nottingham will be affected but not Nottingham Trent University. EMR are telling passengers not to travel on those dates as their services will not operate. Check the EMR website for further details nearer the time.
