In a battle of state-ranked teams, Class 2A No. 3 ranked Abbeville defeated No. 10 ranked G.W. Long 70-51 to clinch the 2A, Area 4 regular-season title on Friday night.

Dothan 68, Carroll 47Four players scored in double figures to lead Class 7A No. 5 ranked Dothan to a 68-47 win over Class 5A No. 8 Carroll, Slocomb 54, Wicksburg 47Tyler Nicholls had 17 points, Cade Birge 15 and Aaron Welborn 10 to lead Slocomb in a Class 3A, Area 3 game.Dale County 65, Ashford 50Junior Smith had 23 points, 14 rebounds and six blocked shots to lead Dale County to the Class 4A, Area 2 win.Zay Johnson led Ashford with 14 points. Alex Swain and Austin Tyler added 10 points each.Eufaula 57, Headland 33Montravious Cullins had 24 points and Desmond Murry 10 to lead Eufaula to the Class 5A, Area 4 win.

Samson 71, Geneva County 68Kelin Hornsby had 24 points, Hunter Lamb 14 and Brodi Mock 10 points to lead Samson to its first area win in six years, taking the Class 2A, Area 2 game. Lamb also had 12 rebounds. Ben McKenzie added eight points and a team-high 15 rebounds for the Tigers .Pike County 47, New Brockton 31Freshmen Tra Davenport and Azhoree Eutsey had 13 and 11 points, respectively, to lead Pike County in the Class 4A, Area 4 game.
