IMPD says speed was a factor in a deadly crash that happened Saturday afternoon on the exit ramp from I-465 to northbound I-69.
Indiana State Police say 56-year-old James Miller of Marion was killed March 22 when his pickup truck was struck by another vehicle at an intersection.
According to a release from ISP, shortly before 5:30 p.m. on March 22, state police along with the Marion Police Department responded to a two-car crash on Officers arrived at the scene to find a crash between a 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan and a 1989 Ford Ranger. The driver of the Grand Caravan was identified as a 19-year-old male from Marion while the driver of the Ford Ranger was identified as 56-year-old James Miller of Marion. ISP's preliminary crash investigation showed that the 19-year-old man was driving his Grand Caravan southbound on Western Avenue.
The 19-year-old reportedly sustained minor injuries. A passenger was also in the Grand Caravan at the time of the crash. They were uninjured, according to ISP. WTHR would like to send you push notifications about the latest news and weather.
