STARK COUNTY, Ohio - The Stark County Sheriff’s Office says deputies and the OVI task force will be operating checkpoints throughout the county Saturday night.SCSO says they will have deputies and members of the OVI Task Force conducting the sobriety checkpoints at the 4500 block of Whipple Avenue starting at 7 p.m.
along with a second checkpoint at the 4400 block of Dressler Road starting at 9:30 p.m. Both locations are within Jackson Township.“We intend to inform the public that officers will be vigilant in detecting and apprehending impaired drivers,”“We want to strongly recommend to those who will be consuming alcohol to plan for a designated driver or make other arrangements.”
