MENTOR, Ohio - The city of Mentor shared on social media last week that the construction of the new Mentor Civic Center pool complex will not be completed in time for the 2026 swim season.
According to the city of Mentor, it is being delayed due to unforeseen construction circumstances and poor weather conditions. The city said it is confident that both facilities will meet and exceed expectations for the residents when they are unveiled in the 2027 season. Residents will be able to enjoy the pool and splashpad at Morton Park that is scheduled to open June 1.
The city extended sincere apologies for the delay and thanks the citizens of Mentor for their patience as work progresses for the new facilities.
