Marvel Introduces Mecha-Wolverine for Jeff the Land Shark: Superstar
MarvelWolverineMech Suit

Wolverine, traditionally known for his violent, cynical nature, joins a new superhero team with a mech suit.

Marvel gives Wolverine his very own mech suit as Logan joins a new superhero team. Wolverine is traditionally known for his violent, cynical nature and his permanent presence in the X-Men's intense survival stories.

Unlike characters like Spider-Man or Doctor Strange, whose powers naturally lend themselves to tearing open dimensions, Wolverine isn't normally associated with multiversal, reality-hopping adventures unless they involve the whole reality he inhabits, like in House of M and Secret Wars. However, Marvel has introduced dozens of memorable alternate versions of Wolverine throughout the years.

For example, Old Man Logan established one of the most tragic versions of Wolverine to date, followed by a similar variant who experienced similar events but eventually joined Earth-616 while his prime counterpart was believed dead. On the other side of the spectrum, the ferocious Weapon X from Age of Apocalypse fights for his life in a reality where he loses his left hand to a Cyclops optic blast and starts wearing a capped adamantium stump.

Not every new Wolverine in the multiverse is shaped by a story as tragic as Old Man Logan or Age of Apocalypse. Some Wolverines are lucky enough to become team players in lighthearted stories like Jeff the Land Shark: Superstar.

Wolverine A Mech Suit With Claw Attachments Jeff The Land Shark: Superstar #2; Written By Kelly Thompson; Art By Tokitokoro; Cover by Gurihiru Following his popular first solo outing It's Jeff, Marvel Rivals breakout star character Jeff the Land Shark is set to star in another self-titled comic where he becomes a cosmic superstar. In Jeff the Land Shark: Superstar, Jeff will be joined by several new versions of famous superheroes in a fight against unexpected antagonists, including Mojo.

One of the hero variants Jeff meets in this intergalactic adventure is a Mecha-Wolverine, a version of Logan who pilots a bulky, eight-foot-tall mech suit with adamantium claw attachments and a helmet that resembles Wolverine's classic winged mask. Normally, the last Marvel hero to need a mech suit is Wolverine, but that's the appeal of characters like Jeff the Land Shark.

Jeff teams up with a wide variety of different characters across the multiverse, from fellow reality-commenting Marvel characters like Deadpool, Spider-Gwen, and Squirrel Girl to serious heroes from other universes like DC's Aquaman in Marvel / DC It's Jeff / Aquaman Infinity Comic. In Jeff the Land Shark: Superstar, Mecha-Wolverine could be anyone from a powerless Wolverine variant to a completely unrelated character who built their own armor inspired by the legendary X-Man.

Jeff The Land Shark Introduces Several Other Character Redesigns Jeff The Land Shark: Superstar Introduces Several New Marvel Character Variants Marvel's new Mecha-Wolverine makes his debut appearance in Jeff the Land Shark: Superstar alongside at least four other new multiversal characters. A new version of Storm possesses Dazzler's abilities, which she shows off while performing a song in a concert in a stunning variant cover. Another Jeff the Land Shark: Superstar variant cover features a fusion between Kate Bishop a.k.a.

Hawkeye and Psylocke, who wears a scope attachment on her sunglasses and crafts a bow fully composed of purple energy like Kwannon's. Related Marvel And DC Just Permanently Combined Their Lore In An Unbelievable Way One of Marvel's strongest heroes just discovered what may be the frontier shared by Marvel and DC's multiverses, bringing both franchises together.

Posts 1 By Nicolas Ayala Likewise, Jeff the Land Shark: Superstar introduces a fusion between Magik and Longshot, who sports white star tattoos all over her body and wields a huge battle axe instead of Ilyana Rasputin's usual Soulsword. The team is completed by a fusion between Rogue and Gambit, who wears a half mask and a fur-lined brown leather coat over their Rogue-inspired costume, as well as by a version of Elsa Bloodstone who wears Doctor Strange's Cloak of Levitation, which suggests she's Sorcerer Supreme in her reality.

These new characters are Marvel's latest addition to a list of character fusions introduced in different stories across the years. Previously, Infinity Wars presented merged heroes such as Thor and Iron Man's fusion Iron Hammer, Spider-Man and Moon Knight's fusion Arachknight, and Captain America and Doctor Strange's fusion Soldier Supreme. The most famous character fusions, however, are the ones present in Marvel and DC's Amalgam universe, where the Wolverine-and-Batman fusion Darkclaw stands as the most iconic.
