Landreth shared that technology can sometimes disconnect or malfunction, especially during activities like swimming or when Paisley is too far away. Because Paisley is still young, she doesn't always feel the changes in her blood sugar, making it even more important to have reliable monitoring.Tracker came into their lives in December 2024, and he has proven to be an invaluable asset in Paisley's care. Landreth said that Tracker's sense of smell allows him to detect changes in Paisley's blood sugar before technology can, giving them a crucial 15 to 20-minute head start. On January 11, during a winter storm, Tracker alerted the family to Paisley's low blood sugar while she was at a friend's house down the street. Landreth said Tracker was persistent in trying to get her attention, and she eventually let him outside.
