'We've just been told this morning that is it 19 years to the day since the first episode of Gavin & Stacey was broadcast. ' Reacting to the milestone, Alison said: 'It's unbelievable, I can't believe it. ' Larry couldn't help but joke: 'All of us, we're 19 years younger.

' Fans of the much-loved comedy show were quick to flood the TikTok video with comments imploring the BBC to bring back the show. Addressing the show's writers James Corden and Ruth Jones specifically, one fan wrote: 'James and Ruth, we need more please bring back a new series.
' Others added: 'Jokes over, bring it back now. '; 'Please do a reunion for the 20th! ' While Gavin and Stacey itself won't be returning, it was announced last autumn that James and Ruth signed a brand new seven-figure deal for a follow-up. James, 47, and Ruth, 59, have signed a deal that will take the new project away from the BBC and instead onto streaming platform AppleTV+.
