हिन्दुस्तान टाइम्स के मुताबकि, पिछले साल जितने बच्चों ने यूपी बोर्ड एग्जाम के लिए रजिस्ट्रेशन कराया था, उसमें से लगभग 15% ने एग्जाम नहीं दिया था. इन 15% बच्चों की तादाद 10,44,619 बताई गई थी. बाद में उप मुख्यमंत्री दिनेश शर्मा ने कहा था कि एग्जाम न देने बच्चों में से 75% दूसरे राज्यों के थे.29 अप्रैल को जारी हुआ था. पिछले साल 10वीं में 75.16% और 12वीं में 72.43% स्टू़डेंट्स पास हुए थे. पिछले साल 12वीं की परीक्षा के लिए 29,81,327 और 10वीं के 36,55,691 छात्र रजिस्टर्ड थे.
-इस नियम से बड़ी संख्या में परीक्षार्थियों को राहत मिलने के आसार हैं. इसी प्रकार पहले कुल पांच नंबर का ग्रेस मार्क्स सिर्फ दो विषयों में मिलता था. अब इंटर में 20 और हाईस्कूल में 18 नंबर का ग्रेस मार्क्स सभी विषयों में मिलाकर मिलता है. इसके चलते चार-पांच नंबर से फेल हो रहे छात्र आसानी से पास हो जाते हैं. सिर्फ दो विषयों में ग्रेस मार्क्स मिलने की बाध्यता नहीं होने के कारण भी बड़ी संख्या में परीक्षार्थियों को राहत मिलने की संभावना है.
