Met Eireann has issued a weather warning for the counties Galway, Mayo and Donegal, as high winds are set to arrive from this evening.
The gusts will reach up to 100km/h, and the weather warning is in place from 6pm to 10pm tonight, Saturday the 26th of November. "Met Éireann Weather Warning," reads the alert. "Very strong southwest winds with gusts of 80-100km/h, strongest near coasts and on high ground with potential for wave overtoppping.The yellow alert is accompanied by a gale warning for all coasts of Ireland.
South to southwest winds will reach gale force on all Irish coastal waters and on the Irish Sea until tonight. Tonight, lowest temperatures of 5 to 10 degrees are due, with temperatures set to reach as low as 1 degrees by the end of the weekend.The showers will be heaviest and most frequent in the west. Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees with fresh and gusty southerly winds, easing light to moderate during the evening.Monday A showery morning will give way to a bright and breezy day on Monday.
