👖 Yachtsman uses jeans to survive for hours in sea after fall overboard |

Arne Murke, a 30-year-old from Germany, said his jeans kept him afloat for over three hours before his rescue by coastguards.

Unable to reach the life jacket thrown by his brother, Mr Murke was soon carried far off by the swell."Without the jeans I wouldn't be here today. They were really the thing that saved me." A rescue helicopter managed to locate the German about three-and-a-half hours after he was knocked overboard.
