For some people, coronavirus can cause symptoms that last weeks or months after the infection has gone. This is called post-Covid-19 syndrome or "long Covid".Researchers collected clinical and hospitalisation data from hospital medical records from a sample of individuals recovered from Covid from five public hospitals in Spain.
No overall significant differences between onset Covid symptoms in men and women was recorded at hospital admission. Women reported more post-Covid symptoms than males, with women on average reporting 2.25 symptoms and men 1.5.
