Woman critical after horror crash sent car into water dies in hospital

The collision happened in the Menlo area of the city shortly before 7am on Friday, March 15.

A Garda spokesman said: "Gardaí are investigating a fatal single-vehicle road traffic collision that occurred on the morning of Friday 15th March 2024 in Galway city."A female front-seat passenger, aged in her 30s, was taken to University Hospital Galway in a critical condition. She was pronounced deceased earlier today ."The road was closed for a time and a technical examination of the scene by Forensic Collision Investigators was conducted.
