There are currently no plans to implement any such requirement and sources have stated that this is not expected at any time in the near future. According to the HSE, you do not need to get a Covid PCR or antigen test if you are under 55 years of age with Covid symptoms but you are otherwise healthy, or if you are aged 55 or older and you are fully boosted, even if you have Covid symptoms.
After self-isolating, people should take extra care for another three days to reduce the risk of passing on the virus.
