Paul Mescal made waves when he played Connell Waldron in BBC’s Normal People, gaining international acclaim. But while his performance won plenty of fans, it was Connell’s iconic silver chain that went viral.
Sharing the incredibly sweet gesture, Paul shared how he gifted the chain to his friend and co-star Daisy Edgar-Jones.Speaking with Today FM’s Dermot & Dave, the Kildare man shared: “The chain is with Daisy! I gave it to her as a wrap gift at the end.”Daisy dressed up as Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Fleabag, while Paul dressed up as his pal, Andrew Scott’s character in the BBC series, the Hot Priest.
Costume Designer, Lorna Mugan told RTÉ we they included the chain in the show, and it certainly didn’t involved creating a cult-following for the piece of jewellery.
