The sequel to the smash hit comic book movie will arrive in cinemas later this year

Truth be told, nobody expected 2018's Venom to be as successful as it was.It wasn't a GREAT movie - 30% on Rotten Tomatoes can attest to that - but it was a FUN movie, and nobody was having more fun than Tom Hardy in the dual role of investigative reporter Eddie Brock, and the parasitic alien that lived inside him, Venom.

Originally due for release in October 2020, but now here we finally are with our first official look at, which also reveals the first glimpses at Harrelson's other character, Carnage. From the trailer, it looks as if Kasady's execution goes awry, and gives him these new powers and abilities, plus he seems to have his targets set firmly on Brock.

Michelle Williams and Reid Scott return from the first movie, while new cast additions include Naomie Harris as Shriek, aka Kasady's love interest, and Stephen Graham in a currently undisclosed role.It is still unknown if Sony and Marvel will eventually have the Venom movies cross paths with Spider-Man or fellow Spidey villain Morbius , but we're sure Let There Be Carnage will be setting up a long future for Hardy as Venom.
